Being authentic these days is such a rare trait. We choose to lie, to be fake, to create an image with the hope that the others will not see us. We project an image through other's eyes the way we see ourselves. We will never know the truth, so why bother so much? Can’t we just be real for a moment? Is it really easier to maintain a character, to play an act, than to be honest with ourselves?

In a world of "everything is possible", we choose to distance ourselves from one another, to isolate, as we seek breaking free for the first time in history, the great illusion of independence. We believe that only we, are important in this world, and that we are entitled. But is this really true? Are we really capable of limiting ourselves so much? As a species we survived and thrived only because we found sticking together. So what are we doing now?

It is said that trust is hard to earn and easy to break. But, does it really need to be like that? Are we honest with ourselves and the ones around us? We all screw up from time to time, and it would be awesome to be able to share that openly. To unload that burden without any repercussion. Wouldn't it? So why don't we just do that? I believe there is a way, if we are real to one another.

Our species survived and thrived in this world because they discovered how to communicate and come together. But communication alone is not enough. When it comes down to survival, you need to listen. Failing in doing that will mean the demise of your group. Listening is the foundation for making good decisions and bringing us closer. What did we do to lose that?

Leadership is damn hard to navigate, it is like that due to us failing to apply basic and common sense principles. We need to stop, listen and heal. As a leader you do not exist if nobody follows you. It takes a lot of believing, bridging, authenticity and caring to bring people along in your journey, so as a leader you are never alone.

It’s been a year since I entered your life, and for that I am so grateful.

Product development should be a continuous planning and re-prioritisation activity. You need to adapt, to pivot, based on the new learnings. So why would you limit your focus to just a fraction of what needs to be achieved?

Oh, what a year we’ve lived! Yes, it was a great and exceptional year...

All my life I’ve been in a rush, always in a hurry, as if not to miss something and nothing at all. I was galloping in my own world and I had no idea why, I had no reasons.
